Weâve all been there. Youâve got deadlines looming. You've fallen behind and have a ton of coursework to get through. You need someone to lighten the load and help you with a particularly pesky essay, PowerPoint, or other project youâve been assigned. But, how do you know which academic support sites are legit? There are many options these days, and some are far more helpful than others. If youâre wondering, âIs My Super Geek Legit,â youâve come to the right place! This MySuperGeek review is my way of lightening your load and helping you determine if this is the type of site you should use.
My name is Tom, and I am an editor and tutor for Killer Papers, a Canadian tutoring and essay-help company. Killer Papers prides itself on only employing US/Canadian-educated tutors, people who are just like you who know the US academic culture in and out. We have studied at the universities you know, like the same sports teams you do, and have lived the US-student lifestyle.
In short, we get you, and weâve got your back when it comes to helping with assignments.Â
âTL/DR: MySuperGeek is NOT what it claims to be. Their tutors are NOT native English speakers like you and me, as theyâd like you to believe. Youâll end up with a paper riddled with errors you paid good money for and canât hand in. Want to work with 100% US/Canadian college-educated experts instead? Submit a project request here at Killer Papers and talk to one of our tutors about your next assignment.Â
đ Bonus Tip: As a thank-you for reading my article, hereâs an exclusive perk just for you. Use the code KPREVIEWS at checkout for a sweet 10% off your next order! Just type it in, and weâre all set to start your success story. Letâs make it happen!
We'll take good care of you (unlike MySuperGeek!)â
To kick off this MySuperGeek review, I visited their website to get the inside scoop on whatâs happening over there.
If youâve visited a few of these sites, you will know what to expect: They require you to create an account before you can talk to one of their âexperts.âÂ
OK, fine. I did it, and maybe Iâll give them my kidney while Iâm at it too...
This was the first indicator that weâd be voting NO to the whole âis My Super Geek legitâ question.
I created an account, a process that was mildly annoying but simple enough. However, as soon as I clicked "send" on my request, I was hit with a tsunami of offers from tutors.
According to their website, they use AI to match you with potential âgeeks,â and this is very clear by the sheer number of offers I received literally within a minute of placing my bid.Â
Pro-tip: Any essay writing business using AI for one thing is likely using it to write essays as well. Do you want to get busted for using AI, something that most universities will immediately fail you for? Any use of AI is a negative sign when attempting to figure out âIs My Super Geek Legit?â
This is where things really started bumming me out, and this MySuperGeek review starts to take a dark turn.Â
When I finally matched with someone who claimed to be a professor, it was clear from the errors in grammar and syntax that they were NOT a native English speaker at all!
I found it very hard to believe that I was dealing with a college professor, as they claimed to be.Â
Where would professors and doctoral candidates find the time to help random students with assignments? Especially for such a small amount of money based on the prices that MySuperGeek charges.Â
Weâll get into pricing here in a bit, but letâs just say that Iâm pretty much positive âProfessor Jennâ isnât who she claims to be.
My takeaway? These are obviously notUS-based âexperts,â as theyâd like you to believe.Â
MySuperGeek wants you to believe they offer you homework and assignment help from US experts in various fields. However, upon closer inspection, the company is registered and based in Cyprus.Â
Cyprus, huh? That tiny little island next to Turkey, Syria and Egypt?Â
While Iâm sure Cyprus is a nice place for a vacationâŚthis seems extremely sketchy to me.
Even more puzzling is how their âgeeksâ have profiles riddled with spelling and grammatical errors, even though an alarming number claim to be PhDs or professors.Â
The whole âis My Super Geek legitâ thing starts to look really quite fuzzy at this pointâŚ
Surely, if you offer a tutoring and editing service in English, you should employ only native English speakers?
This is precisely why you are assured of only US or Canadian college-graduate tutors and editors here at Killer Papers.Â
We take great care with recruiting our specialists, who are all English-speaking US or Canadian citizens, just like you. They grew up in the same culture as you, lived through the same college experience you are having right now, and understand the finer points of what professors at these institutions expect.
You can even watch our tutors work on papers live on their profiles on our YouTube channel!
My next step in penning out this MySuperGeek review was checking them out on social media, as (of course) no respectable company in 2024 neglects Instagram.
And yet, it turns out that I was to be disappointed again by My Super Geek.Â
While MySuperGeek does have some followers on Instagram, none of their posts have any comments. This made me wonder whether they had bought likes.
After all, that is not hard to do.Â
Again, under their âOur Geeksâ tab, every profile claimed to be someone with a PhD or a professor. Their allegedly highly-educated âgeeksâ profile pics are also just a bit too polished and good-looking to be believable.Â
Who are they kidding?
âIs my Super Geek Legit?â Well, considering all of this, probably NOT.â
On the other hand, our reviews go all the way back to 2017.Â
We have over 130,000 followers on Instagram, hundreds of posts, and our tutors and editors are extremely legit.Â
You can even talk to a bunch of them before paying a dime. That's the level of service we offer you.
This MySuperGeek review would not be complete without discussing their prices. On their website, they claim their starting price to be $9.99 per hour, and when you scratch around a little more, they say that it takes an hour to do one double-spaced page.Â
However, there are three levels of âgeeks,â and every level comes with a significant price increase.Â
Every bid I had came in at around $19 - $25 per double-spaced page. On top of that, every âgeekâ who bid on my project had an intro message with basic spelling, grammar, or syntax mistakes.Â
How was I supposed to trust them to get me a decent grade?
And how am I supposed to seriously think that there might be a positive response to the question of âis My Super Geek legit?â
At Killer Papers, papers start around $26/double-spaced page, a bit more than at MySuperGeek.Â
However, not only can you chat with a bunch of tutors before committing to one, but every project request is reviewed by one of our US college-educated tutors and editors to ensure it is matched with the right person.
You can chat directly with your tutor about your project, ask them questions, and learn everything you need to know before they start on your project.Â
Not to mention, our quality absolutely blows My Super Geek out of the water.
We are the best academic writing service in the world, bar none, and a foreign essay mill like My Super Geek doesnât hold a candle to our work here at Killer Papers.
I tried my best to give you an honest My Super Geek review here. Honestly, it doesnât look great for them.
If youâre wondering, âis My Super Geek legit,â then let it be known: the answer is NO!
Their website is not too terrible, but it is clear right from the start that they do not employ native English-speaking tutors and editors.
The site content, as well as the tutorsâ profiles, contain a ton of errors in grammar and syntax.Â
They definitely do not sound like US college graduates, let alone âprofessorsâ or PhDs.Â
The company is based in Cyprus, so it is reasonable to assume that their staff are also not from the US. They have almost no social media presence, and their âgeeksâ all claim to be professors or have PhDs.
Best of all, their reviews on SiteJabber are all pretty terrible, most of which call the company fake or a scam.
âAll in all, I cannot recommend MySuperGeek at all.Â
If you need homework help pop on over to our website and submit a project request to talk to a real, live, US or Canadian college-educated professional about your next project.Â
I hope this MySuperGeek review has helped you with figuring out what to expect from professional tutoring sites.
Remember, if you want to work with me directly, you can request me during the ordering process at Killer Papers. I love helping people with their work, and look forward to a long relationship with you!
